- APOVPN is based out of the United States. It is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. The service was designed by a former US military member who was stationed in Germany and the UK. They offer servers in the United States. APOVPN doesn’t offer custom software. They rely on OpenVPN and OpenVPN Connect clients. We prefer custom software but they both work well. APOVPN has set up guides for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. They work with Sabai Technology to offer custom VPN routers. The service costs $7 a month. They list a router for $99.95 including shipping.
