Astrill Performance Testing

Baseline speed test - before connecting to Astrill we tested our Internet speed and found it to be 34.45 Mbps download and 1.54 Mbps upstream.

Astrill L2TP speed test - we also tested a connection to Astrill's L2TP VPN server in Los Angeles versus a baseline speed test to LA. Our baseline speed was 34.45 down and 1.54 up. Connected to Astrill L2TP our Internet speed was 21.36 Mbps download and 1.44 Mbps upstream.

Conclusion - Astrill performance was average. You can expect any VPN to slow your connection some as the traffic is being encrypted but Astrill performed extremely well.
